Job Description Summary:
This is a one-year position, intended both for course development in the online MA and National Security program and teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level in international relations and/or political science.


Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D in international relations, political science, history, or a related field.
Requisite Experience*
- College level teaching experience required
Desired:
- experience teaching online and with videoconferencing software such as Zoom or WebEx
- ability to teach courses in History of US National Security, Terrorism, Threat Assessment, NS Decision-Making, Private-Public Partnerships, Civil-Military Relations. Nontraditional Threats: pandemics, climate change etc.


Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D in international relations, political science, or a related field, with advanced coursework in national security; online and in-person teaching experience in international relations.


Essential Duties
Fall Semester: teach three courses in international relations, including at least one course in the graduate online national security program, while designing a new online class for the national security program.
x Spring semester: teach three courses in international relations, including at least one course in the graduate online national security program, while designing a new online class for the national security program.
x Assist with advising, planning, and scheduling for the Masters in International Relations programs, including the National Security Program and the Global Masters in IR
x Assist the IR directors and faculty with other administrative responsibilities, as requested
x Serve as point of contact for inquiries and applications for field work, directed studies, thesis, and internships.
x Oversee internships and fieldwork as academic supervisor.
Organize and participate in activities aimed at student recruitment, retention and engagement
x Help collect and analyze data for assessment and prepares annual reports, in collaboration with the International Relations Coordinator
